Introduction

The Pearson BTEC Higher National in Business is to develop students as independent-thinking professionals who can meet the demands of business employers and adapt to a constantly changing world.

The BTEC Higher National Diploma is an internationally-recognised higher education qualifications at level 4 and 5 that is equivalent to the 1st and 2nd years of a university degree, providing progression to both university and employment.

HN Global is a new online platform created by Pearson for BTEC Higher National students. With HN Global, students can get access to (1) core textbook, (2) career empowerment, (3) study skills modules and (4) forum.

Assessment is through practical assignments (one assignment per unit) with no exams - to more accurately reflect the real working environment.

Entry Requirements

The minimum age to register for this programme is 18. Prospective students should note that the following entrance qualifications are required for those wishing to undertake this programme:

  Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or

  Mature applicant with GCSE (or equivalent) and work experience and

  IELTS 5.5 or CEFR level B2 (if applicable)
