Introduction

The Level 3 Diploma in Computer Science provides learners with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in computing, software development, networking, and digital technologies. This program is designed to prepare students for higher education, professional IT certifications, and entry-level roles in the IT industry. Students will gain experience with programming, system design, data management, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

Assessment is through practical assignments, with no exams - to more accurately reflect the real working environment.

The SBC Level 3 Diploma in Computer Science is equivalent to RQF Level 3, comparable to Access to Higher Education Diploma or A Level or Foundation Year or Pre-Degree Course.

This qualification is aligned with our Self Regulated Framework (SRF) and consists of 120 credits, awarded by Severn Business College. Sample Certificate.

Entry Requirements

The minimum age to register for this programme is 18; under 18s require signed parental consent agreement. Prospective students should note that the following entrance qualifications are required for those wishing to undertake this programme:

  Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or

  Mature applicant with qualification and work experience and

  IELTS 4.0 or CEFR level B1 (if applicable)
